Kalen Walker: 9.94s 100m Dash with BleeqUp Ranger

As global attention turns to the Winter Games, cameras focus on moments of competition. What remains unseen are the years of daily training and refinement that make those moments possible.

That work is where elite performance is built—across disciplines, and especially in sprinting, where margins are measured in hundredths of a second and progress depends on preparation repeated over time.

At BleeqUp, we believe peak performance is a system, built through disciplined daily work and supported by the right tools to enable consistent execution under real performance environments. That belief is what brings us to Kalen Walker, who joins BleeqUp as a Performance Product Ambassador.

Energetic in Everyday Training

Still in his early 20s, Kalen Walker is firmly in the upward phase of his performance curve, with year-over-year personal best improvements across both indoor and outdoor sprint events. Competing for the University of Iowa, Walker finished runner-up in the 60 meters at the 2024 NCAA Indoor Championships, advanced to the semi-finals of the 100 meters at the U.S. Olympic Trials, and in May 2025 captured the Big Ten 100-meter title.

Later that month, he recorded his first wind-legal sub-10-second performance (9.94s)—a milestone reached through sustained training output rather than short-term peaks. For Walker, progress has always mattered more than the moment itself. “I don’t really care about the race itself,” he says. “What drives me is seeing myself improve. That’s what keeps pushing me forward.”

Performance energy is not created on race day. It’s built through the ability to return to preparation day after day with focus, discipline, and consistency.

Explosive Power at the Start

In sprinting, explosiveness is most decisive in the opening phase of the race. The first 10–30 meters, often referred to as the drive phase, determine how effectively power is transferred from the blocks into acceleration. While traditional sideline footage provides valuable reference, it captures only part of what unfolds in these split-second moments.

As part of his sprint routine, Walker integrates BleeqUp Ranger into real sessions, using the built-in technology of these BleeqUp glasses to capture sprint starts and acceleration at full speed. By leveraging the advanced capabilities of the BleeqUp sports camera glasses, Walker gets a first-person perspective that captures details beyond what trackside cameras typically see, enhancing the evaluation of overall performance.

BleeqUp Ranger's EIS-stabilized POV footage reveals the athlete's head position, eye line, and visual stability during explosive movement—details that complement coach-side analysis. In this setup, BleeqUp glasses do more than just record; they provide a new dimension of technical feedback. Here, explosive power is not just released; it is documented, reviewed, and refined.

Unstoppable Progress Over Long Sessions

As Walker continues to raise his standard and set new personal bests, his training demands longer sessions and sustained consistency. At this stage, progress depends on the ability to maintain quality work across extended preparation cycles.

The AI sports glasses is integrated into Walker’s everyday training setup. Weighing under 50 grams, this specific model of BleeqUp glasses remains unobtrusive during extended sessions, allowing natural movement without distraction. With up to 8 hours of music playback, wind noise reduction, and impact-resistant lenses, the BleeqUp Ranger enables uninterrupted workflows and reliable use under repeated, high-speed conditions.

The BleeqUp glasses combines action camera technology and sports eyewear into a single, comfortable wearable for training. Designed to stay unobtrusive through long sessions, it helps maintain continuity in daily work—allowing Walker to focus on progression as he builds toward what’s next.

Performance Is Built on the Way Up

At BleeqUp, we focus on what happens before results are visible. We design our AI sports glasses to build with athletes inside real preparation and daily work—where consistency is built, details are refined, and progress takes shape over time.

Kalen Walker reflects our belief that performance is not something to capture at the finish line, but something to grow alongside. As they continue to train, adapt, and push forward, we’re committed to supporting the work that happens on the way up.
